Wonders of The First Dragon Cup 2026

This has been the most prestigious event for both collectors and players. The Wonders of The First Dragon Cup 2026 is shaping up to be an even more so with the arrival of the Dragon Hunters and their dragons.

Two Ways to Enter the Arena

There are two groups taking part in Dragon Cup 2026.

On one side, you have the Stoneseekers.
These are the players. The ones battling it out in the tournament. Some are here for the experience. Others are chasing titles, recognition, and prestige. A few will have the opportunity to ride a dragon while doing it.

On the other side, you have the Dragon Hunters.
These are the collectors. They gather Dragon Scales and build Dragons powerful enough to enter the event themselves or appoint a Stoneseeker as their Dragon Rider to compete on their behalf.

What is a Dragon?

A dragon is the collection binder of a dragon hunter made up of up to 1000 scales (foil wonders cards) they have collected. The theoretical “perfect Dragon” would be a full binder where every scale is among the rarest and most difficult to acquire versions of each card, such as Stonefoil 1/1s where they exist.

What Counts as a Scale?

Dragon Scales come in many forms, including:

  • Classic Foils
  • Formless Foils
  • Serialized OCMs
  • Stonefoil 1/1s
  • Autographs, Alt-Arts, Echoes, Prize Cards, and other promos

You can have as many copies of each card as you want.

Prize Pools: Play vs Power

Dragon Cup 2026 features a combined $250,000 prize pool, split across two systems.

Base Prize Pool — $50,000

  • Paid purely on tournament performance
  • Open to all players
  • No connection to collection size
  • Top 16 pay out

Dragon Gold Pool — $200,000

  • Based on Dragon Points and tournament performance
  • Rewards collectors for building powerful Dragons
  • Need to be among the top 32 collectors
  • 10,000 point minimum

The game is NOT pay-to-win. Anyone can compete with an affordable deck. At the same time, collectors who have spent time building something exceptional now have a way for that effort to matter.
