Spreading Misinformation

The only individuals authorized to issue tournament penalties at Wonders of The First events are:

  • The Tournament Organizer and event staff (such as SCG judges and staff)
  • Members of the Wonders of The First Organized Play Team

No player will ever be disqualified from a tournament for playing a legal deck that interacts with the game according to the official rules published on our website.

If a deck is legal under the current Comprehensive Rules, Tournament Rules, and any officially published(on the website)rulings or errata, it is legal to play.
Players should not be intimidated or discouraged from participating because of misinformation or unofficial claims made by members of the community.

We are aware that false information has been circulated suggesting that players can be disqualified by individuals outside of the Organized Play Team for using certain legal decks.
__ This is simply not true.__

Knowingly spreading misinformation or attempting to discourage players from entering events by falsely claiming they will be disqualified for playing legal decks **is harmful **to our community. __Individuals who engage in this behavior may be subject to suspension or a ban from Wonders of The First Organized Play events.
__

If you have any questions about deck legality, tournament policy, or need event or tournament assistance of any kind, please contact the Organized Play team directly at:
op@wondersccg.com

Please rely on official Organized Play communications for tournament policy and rulings.

We want every player to feel confident entering our events knowing they will be judged fairly, consistently, and according to the published rules.
