Dragon Box Battle Break
The Dragon Box Battle Break is one of The Shattering’s debut premium experiences, blending high-stakes collecting with competitive progression.
Buy-In & Entry
- Buy-in: $100 per spot
- Each spot includes five Collector Packs
- Players may purchase up to six spots, each from a different box
Round 1 — Collector Pack Opening
All players open their five Collector Packs.
Any player who opens one or more of the following cards immediately advances:
- OCM
- Autograph
- Stonefoil
Once the winners are decided
- Those players each receive a Gold Pack
All winners advance to the Dragon pack Round
Round 2 — Dragon Pack Round
The advancing players each choose one Dragon Pack from available Dragon Packs.
- Each player opens their selected Dragon Pack
- The winner is determined by the highest-rarity pull, using the official rarity scale
Prizes:
1st Place: Wins a Dragon Box and advances to the Final Table
Final Table — Dragon Box Opening
The Dragon Box winner opens their Dragon Box.
- All cards opened are compared using the official rarity scale
The Top 8 cards determine final standings

Final Winner: Receives the Champion Playmat and Champion Card

On-Demand Box Breaks
On-demand box breaks are designed specifically for collectors who want fast, exciting experiences throughout the weekend.
We heard your feedback from last year — these breaks are streamlined, repeatable, and reward premium pulls.
How it works:
- Sign up for a box break
- Once 6 players have registered, the group is seated
- Packs are distributed, and the ripping begins
Winning the Break:
- The winner is the player who pulls an Autograph, OCM, or Stonefoil
- The winner immediately receives:
- The alt-art gold pack from the box
- One entry into an end-of-day Dragon Box Break
- The alt-art gold pack from the box
Players may win multiple box breaks and earn multiple Dragon Box Break entries.
At the end of the day, one Dragon Box Break winner will take home a Dragon Box.
On-Demand Sealed Events
On-demand sealed events function as mini-tournaments that can begin at any time during the weekend. These events are ideal for collectors and players looking for meaningful games without high pressure.
Event Structure:
- Events begin once 8 players have signed up
- Players compete in 3 rounds
- Each round win awards one Collector Pack
