Update #6: $1M Stretch Goal & Dragon Dynasty Brings The Heat

Stoneseekers, you did it! Thank you! The $900K stretch goal has been hit and added to the Stretch Box. The next stretch goal is $1,000,000.

Now that your rewards have gotten even bigger to build your collection, let’s talk about something else that loves a good treasure hoard… DRAGONS!

Dragon Dynasty is one of the print & play decks available via PDF to download from the Wonders of The First website. It is also available on our fan-made tabletop simulator (which is live streamed in our Discord.) 

The strategy of this deck focuses on energy ramp and cost reduction to power out giant flying reptiles. Dragon gold reduces the cost of your Wonders that cost 5 or more energy. 

Wait until you try the combination of Verdant Cliffwing and Vaporblast Artillery. Vaporblast is a weapon that gives +3 power and when its holder attacks, it creates an unstoppable steam blast that blows an enemy clear into another realm. In the claws of a dragon, you can strafe a whole series of realms in a single turn, blasting enemies away as you go. Even better, when Verdant Cliffwing attacks unopposed it lets you draw 2 cards. Imagine an 8 power dragon holding a steam artillery cannon as it sweeps across the battlefield.

You can also terrorize the table with Drogothar the Destroyer, Blinsworth Goldscale, and Skraal, Ruler of the Three Lakes (known among players as “The Worm”) If someone says “Worm on 7” it means some crazy effects are about to happen.

But the scariest dragon of them all does not have wings. She does not breathe fire. It is a gentle looking girl to whom all dragons are loyal.

I’m talking about Syl Scalewhisper and her favorite accessory, Floral Diadem of the Verdant Queen.

When Syl Scalewhisper hits the table it creates a token in each realm where you control a dragon, and Syl even counts herself. So if you play Syl late in the game you can get 5, 6 or 7 dragon tokens with 2 power each.

 

Now give Syl the Floral Diadem to wear and every Wonder that shares a class or lineage with her gets +2 power. That means all your 2 power dragons become 4 power instantly.

And if you hit “Worm on 7” with Syl, that’s about 28 dragon tokens.
