Greetings Stoneseekers!

We are excited to share that we are back on Kickstarter with a new launch date of Tuesday May 14th at 2pm EST. We are humbled by the overwhelming support, interest, and excitement around the Wonders of The First (“Wonders”) franchise. 

Many of you have had fun testing out the free downloadable CCG print and play demo decks and watched the demo video. We are encouraged by the positive feedback from thousands of community members and retailers around the innovation of the game.

Since September 15, 2022, our team has worked hard to foster a thriving ecosystem built on trust, integrity, and a shared pursuit of adventure. We outline this in the Wonders Way.

We want to reiterate that Wonders of The First is a franchise. We have been transparent that there is a CCG brand and also a brand extension (called “Character Art Proofs”) that are created using NFTs. 50 of these were slated to be offered as randomized hits in our packs.  

Since the beginning of our Kickstarter campaign in April 2024, we have worked closely alongside the Kickstarter team to ensure our company was following platform terms. Our previous campaign (while successful in achieving ~$1.5M in funding and being given status as a “Project Kickster Loves”) was flagged post-launch by the Kickstarter Trust and Safety team and they cited that the use of NFTs are not allowed and our campaign would need to be cancelled and resubmitted without any NFT tie ins.

We have now complied with that request and we are set to relaunch. We do very much appreciate Kickstarter’s approval of the new campaign and while we acknowledge Kickstarter can make changes to their terms and decide what can and cannot be offered on the platform it’s important to note that we previously operated in good faith as no such prohibition is expressed in their terms and previously funded projects have offered NFTs in various capacities.  We would respectfully suggest that Kickstarter consider adding the prohibition to the terms so that no other project runs into a similar problem.

All that said, that’s now the last and it’s time to look forward.  

The campaign is now in pre-launch with full support of Kickstarter and we will go live on Tuesday May 14th at 2pm EDT and still end on the originally scheduled date of May 30th.
